There is nothing quite like going on a week-long camping trip with your friends and family. There is something special about getting out into the wilderness and leaving all of the big city stresses behind. Many people who enjoy camping also enjoy preparing and eating food outdoors. Food that is prepared on a camp stove or on top of an open flame in a fire pit is special.
One of the main enjoyments when it comes to food while camping is barbecuing hamburgers and hotdogs. Another culinary treat when camping is breakfast. Breakfasts while camping are usually easy to make. This does not mean that a bowl of corn flakes covered with milk is a good camping breakfast choice. There are many other more excellent, easy breakfasts that a camper can make.
One of the more easier to make and perhaps the most enjoyable to eat camping breakfast is fried potatoes, fresh caught lake trout, eggs, and toast. This is a very nutritious breakfast and it is especially delicious because of the fresh caught lake trout. Of course, someone will have to do a little bit of fishing early in the morning before breakfast or the night before. However, the effort will be well worth it as there is nothing more tasty then placing a fillet of trout into a frying pan covered with butter. It only requires an additional sprinkling of salt and pepper to make it perfect the breakfast dish.
On other days you can make pancakes for breakfast. Everyone loves pancakes and to make your pancakes more appealing, you can add freshly picked local berries into the batter. Most campsites are in wilderness areas and a stroll through the nearby forests can provide all types of delicious tasting berries such as salmon berries, wild raspberries and strawberries, blackberries, huckleberries, and so forth.
Yes, there are many easy and fun breakfasts that a camper can make for their friends and family. All it takes is a little bit of imagination and a few basic food ingredients.
